BUSINESS CONTINUITY MANAGER
An intensive training based on practical aspects and responsibilities arising from the implementation and maintenance of the Business Continuity Management System (Business Continuity Manager) in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 22301 standard.
About the training
A practical approach to the management system according to ISO 22301
We offer a two-day training in which participants will be introduced to the concept of Business Continuity Management (BCM) and the most popular BCM models. The training will provide participants with knowledge of the project process, development and updating of documentation, and implementation of organizational solutions within BCM. Participants will gain knowledge of the ISO 22301 standard guidelines for business continuity management and preparing the organization for certification against ISO 22301. During lectures and practical workshop exercises, participants will acquire skills related to building strategies, conducting Business Impact Analysis (BIA), and developing documentation, including business continuity plans and emergency procedures.
Upon completion of the training, participants will receive a certificate and access to the materials.
Training objective
- Gaining knowledge in the development of business continuity management strategies.
- Mastering the concepts and terminology related to Business Continuity Management.
- Acquiring skills to create business continuity management processes in an organization.
- Understanding the mechanisms and logic of handling risk management processes in accordance with ISO 22301 requirements.
- Ability to develop documentation compliant with ISO 22301 requirements.
Target audience
The training is intended for individuals responsible for implementing and maintaining the business continuity management system within the organization, employed at all organizational levels, with particular emphasis on current and future Business Continuity Managers.
Language of the training
The training is conducted in Polish. There is an option to organize the training in English.
Training methodology
Training effectiveness is achieved by selecting the appropriate topics and training methods tailored to the participants’ needs and the issues addressed in the training. Below are the methods and techniques we apply:
LECTURE
We provide knowledge to participants based on dedicated teaching aids, e.g., a multimedia presentation. This is the foundational part of the training, where we introduce the topic, discuss key concepts, roles, processes, procedures, etc.
PRACTICAL EXAMPLES
As practitioners, we base the training program on real-life events presented for a specific problem. We help participants independently reach conclusions or solutions. Our training is heavily focused on practice and the development of participants’ skills.
DISCUSSION
Participants express their opinions and exchange experiences. A well-formed discussion topic, due to the clash of at least two perspectives, usually generates strong emotional engagement. The discussion allows for the development of a joint solution or prepares arguments on the given issue.
BRAINSTORMING
In a short time, we generate many ideas and solutions for specific problems and situations. We engage participants, stimulate thinking, and foster creativity.
EXERCISES
Practical tasks related to the training content, e.g., creating a process, conducting a case study, etc. These effectively complement the lecture and practical examples.
TESTS
We verify the level of knowledge and skills of participants. We identify competency gaps and plan the educational process accordingly to improve participants’ skills. Depending on the type of training, this can be done using various tools, such as knowledge tests and assignments.
SIMULATIONS
They provide an excellent sample of reality, in which participants actively engage and experience the consequences of their actions.
SUMMARY
After completing each topic, we summarize the discussed material. This is done by the trainer and allows participants to review the most important aspects related to the topic while giving them the opportunity to verify their understanding.
