What do we offer?
An effective supply chain quality management system ensures the durability, flexibility, and efficiency of the supply chain. This, in turn, translates into reduced risks and costs, more open collaboration with partners, and on-time deliveries. However, to achieve this, a supplier risk management system must be designed that not only meets the requirements of ISO 31000 and 28001 standards but also actively contributes to risk and loss reduction.
We can help you build such a system! As part of the service, we will create a unified reporting structure for risks and opportunities. We will also prepare a management, optimization, and development strategy in the context of corporate risk management. Our solution can be integrated with other systems used in your organization, such as those related to goals (KPIs), resulting in a resilient and comprehensive early warning system.
With the support of PBSG professionals, you will reduce losses and costs associated with inadequate risk assessment or poor decision-making. Additionally, you will meet the requirements of the planned amendments to the Act on the Responsibility of Collective Entities (criminal liability for supplier actions). You will gain assurance that all actions taken will comply with legal regulations, which will increase your credibility with partners and create a stable supply chain management system.
Leverage our experience to enhance your risk management.
How do we work?
1. We will develop the concept of the system
We will review the procedures and solutions used in the organization. Based on the audit results, we will develop a supplier risk management model, including the management structure, identification of key areas (top risks), risk assessment methodology, and risk handling techniques. The provided documentation will include assigned roles with responsibilities, communication methods, and principles for reporting and assessing risks.
2. Training
After the methodology is approved, we will train your employees. The designated participants will familiarize themselves with the topic of risk management and learn how to identify and analyze risks in their areas. We focus on practical knowledge, so we will prepare exercises on supplier risk assessment and control mechanisms, along with examples of internal and external threats.
3. Workshops on risk identification
We will conduct individual workshops with risk owners and their designated risk managers. The focus will be on understanding the essence of analysis and verification of key risks relevant to their areas of activity. Together with the workshop participants, we will prepare action plans for unacceptable risks and a supplier risk register. We will also discuss with managers about raising awareness of risks within the organization.
4. Risk management report and methodology
You will receive a report from us that will include a summary of the implementation and risk assessment results along with conclusions. We will also propose solutions that will allow you to improve processes and the risk management system. In a presentation for management, we will present conclusions and recommendations at both the operational and strategic levels. We focus on practical solutions, so you will receive not only documentation but also a real action plan.

The most important questions about the risk management plan
What is supplier risk management?
Every business looks for opportunities to improve quality, safety, or reduce operational costs. This is particularly important when it comes to delivering products and services, as any issues in delivery can affect the popularity of the brand and its reputation. A risky aspect is that companies often rely on multiple partners within the supply chain. Moreover, each of them may make different decisions and take actions that impact all participants in the supply chain and the final outcome. Therefore, it is crucial to develop an efficient and effective system along with a so-called supplier risk matrix. The purpose of such a matrix is to categorize suppliers and assign them separate action plans. To achieve this, one must be aware of the risks and know how to minimize threats associated with individual suppliers – and this is precisely what a supplier risk management system (VRM) helps with.
Why is it important to ensure proper management of supplier risk?
Proper management of supplier risk translates into the quality of services and deliveries. This is achieved by establishing rules and methods that ensure cooperation with external entities does not disrupt business continuity and outcomes. By aligning the system with legal regulations and securing it against risks (including cybersecurity), you reduce material losses and the risk of losing credibility. An effective system allows you to continuously analyze costs, secure more reliable revenues, and provides a foundation for negotiating collaboration terms.
What are the categories and examples of risks in supply chain management?
Processes included in risk management within the supply chain include customer relationship management and customer service, demand management, production flow management; order fulfillment, procurement, and product development. One category of risks is resource availability – this can involve financial or cost constraints, or even employee illness, which could slow down production. Risks can also concern the collaboration itself. For instance, insufficient knowledge about people, culture, and language can lead to communication problems. Another example affecting the entire supply chain is poor information management, such as individual promotion planning or failure to communicate longer order fulfillment times.
Why is it worth managing risk in the supply chain?
The supply chain consists of a whole set of processes and procedures designed to support organizations and connect sellers and buyers in the market. Only through effective management can the uninterrupted flow of information be ensured and risks be mitigated. The key to success lies in linking each participant in the supply chain with each other and assigning appropriate functions. In such a complex structure, there is a risk of random events and phenomena that cannot be entirely predicted. These can be detected by an efficient early warning system. The primary task of the VRM system is to take various levels of risk into account when configuring the supply chain, as well as increasing trust and available information in relationships between partners.
