What did the client expect?
The client was looking for experienced analysts and advisors to improve the risk management system. The project involved delivering and implementing an IT tool tailored to the process carried out in accordance with the Risk Management Policy. The choice fell on the erisk software, which was implemented within the TAURON Capital Group.
When selecting an advisor, TAURON focused primarily on experience. It was important that the portfolio included organizations with a similar profile and size. Technical knowledge, supported by certifications and recommendations, was also a key factor. They chose PBSG because we are the exclusive distributor of the erisk software, which fully met the organization’s needs. What did we do?
WE CONDUCTED AN ANALYSIS
One of the tasks of the project was to prepare a report on the analysis of functional, technical, and user requirements along with recommendations. This allowed us to propose optimal implementation options for applying the risk management methodology to the erisk tool.
WE IMPLEMENTED THE ERISK TOOL
We installed the software, which we then configured according to the provided methodology. We added necessary scripts and forms, and populated the historical database for the past 8 quarters. We also created periodic reports, giving the client access to current data at any time and in any format.
WE TRAINED EMPLOYEES
The erisk tool is user-friendly, but it requires knowledge and skills to use it effectively and minimize the likelihood of errors in the data provided. Users from the designated TAURON companies participated in training sessions on the tool’s functionalities and operation.
WE PROVIDED TECHNICAL SUPPORT
At the end of the project, we provided a practical user manual for the operation of the erisk software. The client could rely on our support at every stage of the project, and as part of technical assistance, our consultants were at their full disposal, solving ongoing issues and delivering necessary updates.
What were the results?
As part of the project, we conducted a comprehensive system implementation process, starting from the delivery of licenses and installation of the erisk software, through system implementation, and ending with providing technical support and maintenance services.
The project included:
- Building an automatic reporting and data generation system for risk management, in accordance with previously defined formats and data scope, at various levels of management.
- Introducing a defined form structure into the database.
- Creating a mechanism allowing domain users working in dispersed locations to utilize the software.
- Ensuring the efficient use of the tool by a large group of users with varying access rights.
The client gained recommendations for optimizing and improving the risk management process, and the delivered erisk tool became a significant support for the decision-making process. According to the client’s feedback, the project positively impacted the system functioning within the TAURON Capital Group.
